The story of CONY is not just about building equipment; it’s about a legacy passed down through generations, fueled by a deep-seated passion for the craft of finishing.

Our founder, James Zhang, grew up under the profound influence of his father, who was among the pioneering generation of spray painting engineers in China. Working at Sinotruk (China National Heavy Duty Truck Group)—located just 20 kilometers from where our CONY factory stands today—his father embodied the dedication and precision that defined the trade.
Watching his father, James developed not just an interest, but a genuine fascination with the transformative power of a perfect coat of paint. This early exposure planted a seed of passion for the industry that would guide his future. It was this very passion that inspired him to establish his own spray booth manufacturing company and personally oversee the construction of his own spray booth and industrial coating equipment factory.

In 1975, James Zhang's father worked in truck painting at China National Heavy Duty Truck Group.
1996
In 1996, driven by his passion for the painting industry, James Zhang, the founder of the company, established his own spray booth factory.
2006
In 2006, Cony began exporting its products to countries all over the world.
2010
In 2010, the company successfully passed authoritative assessments and was officially awarded CE certification and ISO international quality management system certification. This marked that the enterprise fully complied with international standards in terms of product safety, quality control and production management, laying a solid foundation for further expanding overseas markets and enhancing the brand’s international competitiveness.
2016
In 2016, after a decade of steady development, the company had won wide recognition in the global market with high-quality products and comprehensive services. The total number of overseas customers exceeded 1,000, and its business covered many countries and regions, with an increasingly mature international layout.
2018
In 2018, the factory officially implemented an ERP management system, taking the lead in achieving digital and information-based management in the domestic industry, which greatly improved operational efficiency and management accuracy.
2025
In 2025, with the continuous growth of orders from both domestic and international markets and the continuous expansion of the global business scope, the production scale and capacity of the company’s original factory could hardly meet the rapidly developing business demands. To further improve production efficiency, expand production capacity and ensure stable supply to the global market, the company officially launched the construction of a new modern production base, laying a solid foundation for the long-term, high-quality development of the enterprise.
